FORMULA:
Gentamicina base (como sulfato) 8 g.
Excipientes c.s.p. 100 ml.
PRESENTACION: Frasco ampolla conteniendo 100 y 250 ml.
INDICACIONES: Procesos infecciosos provocados por gérmenes sensibles. Septicemias. Diarreas infecciosas. Metritis. Neumonías. Bronquitis infecciosas. Infecciones urinarias. Heridas infectadas.
DOSIFICACION: Dependiendo de la gravedad de la afección 4 a 6 mg/kg/día dividido en tres aplicaciones. Teorías actuales indican la administración de 6,6 mg/kg/día en una sola aplicación. Salvo indicación del profesional actuante la duración del tratamiento debe ser por lo menos de 4 a 5 días. En diarreas infecciosas, 1 mg/kg 2 veces por día por vía oral . En metritis, dependiendo de la gravedad de la infección, entre 1 y 3 gr. por día. Se administra por vía intrauterina, completando a 250 ml, con solución fisiológica tibia. En animales jóvenes (lactantes) cuando se emplee la vía parenteral se recomienda reducir la dosis a la mitad. Este producto no debe ser usado en animales de producción lechera.
VIA DE ADMINISTRACION: Intramuscular. Endovenosa. Intrauterina.

ADVERTENCIAS Y CONTRAINDICACIONES: No asociar con otros antibióticos aminoglucósidos. No mezclar en el mismo frasco o jeringa con penicilinas, carbenicilinas, cefalosporinas, anfotericina B o heparina.
No usar en: animales con antecedentes de hipersensibilidad a los aminoglucósidos o que presenten insuficiencia renal, en hembras gestantes o en animales en producción lechera. Administrado en dosis altas o durante tiempo prolongado este antibiótico puede provocar nefrotoxicidad y afectar el octavo par craneano. Por eso, en cualquiera de las dosis circunstanciales se aconseja controlar la función renal. No mezclar con Cloranfenicol ya que antagoniza a la gentamicina. No asociar a agentes nefrotóxicos o diuréticos como la furosemida o ácido etacrínico. No usar concomitantemente con relajantes musculares o durante las anestesias con halothano o metoxifluorano.

PRESENTATION: Vials containing 100 and 250 mL
INDICATIONS: Infections caused by sensitive germs. Septicemias. Infectious diarrhea. Metritis. Pneumonia. Infectious bronchitis. Urinary tract infection. Infected injuries.
DOSAGE: Current theories indicate the administration of 6.6 mg/kg/day in a sole application .In practice,30 to 35mL a day for an adult horse. Except otherwise indicated by the acting professional, the treatment should last from 4 to 5 days. In infectious diarrheas, 1 mg/kg twice a day via oral administration.In metritis, depending on the seriousness of the disorder, between 1 and 3 g a day. It is administered via intrauterine route, by completing 250 ml with physiological solution. In young animals (nursing), when the parenteral route is employed, the recommendation is to reduce the dose to a half.

To be used in sport horses. Do not administer to horses that might be used for human food consumption.
WARNINGS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not associate with other aminoglycoside antibiotics. Do not mix in the same bottle or syringe with penicillin, carbenicillin, cephalosporin, amphotericin B or heparin.
Do not use in animals with history of hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides or that show renal insufficiency; in pregnant mares or in animals for milk production. When administered in high doses or during a long time, this antibiotic can cause nephrotoxicity and affect the eighth cranial nerve. For this reason, with any of the circumstantial doses, it is advisable to control the renal function. Do not mix with Chloramphenicol, since it antagonizes with gentamicin. Do not combine with nephrotoxic or diuretic agents such as furosemide or ethacrynic acid. Do not use concurrently with muscle relaxants or during anesthesia with halothane or methoxyflurane.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Store between 5 and 25°C protected from direct sunlight exposure and humidity.
