PRESENTACIÓN: Frasco ampolla conteniendo 50 ml
Indicaciones: El producto está destinado a provocar neurolisis temporaria de los nervios peroneo profundo y superficial, y eventualmente del nervio tibial, con el objeto de reducir el dolor de la articulación del tarso en afecciones crónicas. Esta disminución del dolor produce un aumento de la movilidad articular, mayor irrigación de la zona, a la vez que mejora la calidad de vida del equino.
ADMINISTRACIÓN: Perineural, aplicando la técnica de las anestesias tronculares en los correspondientes nervios. Eventualmente, puede aplicarse en forma subcutanea en la zona del esparaván. Debido a la densidad del producto, es necesario que sea aplicado con aguja gruesa por ej. 18G x 1.5. En ambientes muy fríos, puede colocarse el frasco en Baño María, para facilitar la aplicación.
DOSIFICACIÓN: Las dosis indicadas se refieren a equinos deportivos adultos.
Nervio peroneo profundo: 5 a 8 ml.
Nervio peroneo superficial: 1,5 a 2 ml.
Nervio tibial: 6 a 10 ml.
Si se decide la infiltración de la zona del esparaván, se inyectan en la zona en forma subcutánea 1 a 2 ml., con o sin aire. Esta dosificación puede variar según el criterio y experiencia del Profesional actuante.
INTERVALO ENTRE DOSIS Y DURACIÓN DEL TRATAMIENTO: Corresponde una sola aplicación, pudiendo repetirse si reaparecen los síntomas. No se puede predecir la duración del efecto neurolítico, pero es de aproximadamente entre 3 y 6 meses.
CONTRAINDICACIONES Y LIMITACIONES DE USO: No administrar en miembros anteriores dado que no surte efecto deseado.
No usar en animales sensibles al principio activo. Su uso está contraindicado cuando la lesión a tratar pueda agravarse con el tratamiento (fisuras, fracturas articulares, esfuerzos ligamentosos, etc.) o cuando el bloqueo implique riesgo para el animal o el jinete.
No aplicar en tejidos infectados o con inflamación aguda. No administrar a equinos destinados al consumo alimentario humano.
PRECAUCIONES: Se recomienda observar las reglas de antisepsia.
Este producto debe ser aplicado por un Médico Veterinario.
REACCIONES ADVERSAS Y EFECTOS COLATERALES: En algunos casos puede producirse fibrosis en el punto de inyección.
Puede producirse una reacción inflamatoria cuando se aplica sobre el nervio tibial.
En estos casos, administrar antiinflamatorios, duchas en la zona y caminatas.

INDICATIONS: The product is intended to cause temporary neurolysis of the deep and superficial peroneal nerves, and eventually of the tibial nerve, with the purpose of reducing pain in the tarsal joint in chronic disorders. This pain reduction produces an increase in the joint mobility and more irrigation in the area, while it improves the horse’s life quality.
ADMINISTRATION: Perineural, applying the technique of truncal anesthesia in the appropiate nerves. Eventually, it can be applied via subcutaneous route in the sparvin area. Due to the product’s density, it is necessary to apply it with a thick needle, for example, 18 G x 1.5. In very cold environments, the bottle can be placed into a double boiler to facilitate the application.
DOSAGE: The indicated doses refer to adult sport horses.
Deep peroneal nerve: 5 to 8 mL
Superficial peroneal nerve: 1.5 to 2 mL
Tibial nerve: 6 to 10 mL
If the decision is to infiltrate the sparvin area, from 1 to 2 mL must be injected in the area via subcutaneous route, with or without air. Rub the skin and walk the horse after injection. This dosage may vary according to the acting professional's criteria and expertise.
INTERVAL BETWEEN DOSES AND LENGTH OF THE TREATMENT: It is intended for only one application, but it may be repeated if the symptoms appear again. The length of the neurolytic effect cannot be predicted, but it lasts approximately between 3 and 6 months.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS OF USE: Do not administer in forelimbs since it does not have the desired effect.
Do not use in animals that are sensitive to the active principle. Its use is contraindicated when the lesion to be treated may get worse with the treatment (fissures, articular fractures, ligament strain, etc.) or when the block implies risk for the animal or the horseman.
Do not apply to infected tissues or with acute inflammation. For use in sport horses. Do not administer to horses for human food consumption.
PRECAUTIONS: Please follow rules of antisepsis.
This product must be applied by a Veterinarian.
ADVERSE REACTIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS: In some cases, fibrosis may appear in the injection site.
If applied on the tibial nerve, it may produce an inflammatory reaction.
In these cases, apply anti-inflammatory drugs, showers on the area and walks.
Keep out of the reach of children.
