FORMULA:
Fenilbutazona 1 gr.
Excipiente c.s.p. 1 comp.
PRESENTACION: Pote por 10 y 50 comprimidos
INDICACIONES: Afecciones inflamatorias agudas y crónicas, artritis, miositis, tendinitis, sinovitis, esfuerzos articulares, osteitis. Hipertermia.
DOSIFICACION: La dosis de ataque para un equino adulto es de 3 gr. (3 comprimidos), y la de mantenimiento 2 gr. (2 comprimidos) por día. Considerar que el efecto aparecerá a partir de las 6 horas de administrada la dosis. Si después de 5 días de tratamiento no hay remisión de los síntomas, revisar el diagnóstico. En ponies y animales viejos se recomienda reducir la dosis diaria a 2,2 mg. por kg. de peso vivo.
VIA DE ADMINISTRACION: Vía oral.
EFECTOS COLATERALES: Úlceras orales y gastrointestinales, hipoalbuminemia, diarrea, anorexia y efectos renales.
CONTRAINDICACIONES Y PRECAUCIONES: No asociar con warfarina o sulfonamidas. No usar cuando se sospeche de úlceras digestivas, defectos de coagulación, disfunción cardíaca, renal o hepática, ni cuando existan afecciones tiroideas o alergia a esta droga. En caso de toxicidad aguda provocada por el medicamento, interrumpir el tratamiento, alcalinizar la orina y aplicar prostaglandinas y bloqueantes H2. La dosis máxima del producto es 4 gramos por día. De todas formas se sugiere respetar las dosis terapéuticas indicadas para evitar la posible aparición de efectos colaterales. La duración máxima de tratamiento es hasta 5 días.
NOTA: Dado que el producto será utilizado en circunstancias que escapan al control del elaborador, éste no se responsabiliza por las consecuencias que surjan del uso inadecuado del mismo. Destinado a equinos deportivos. No se administrará a equinos cuyo destino sea consumo alimentario humano.

INDICATIONS: Acute and chronic inflammatory conditions, arthritis, myositis, tendonitis, synovitis, articular strain, osteitis, hyperthermia.
DOSAGE: The loading dose for an adult horse is 3 g (3 tablets) and the maintenance dose is 2 g (2 tablets) a day. Consider that the effect will be noticed 6 hours after the administration of the dose. If after 5 days of treatment there is no remission of symptoms, review the diagnosis.
In ponies and old animals, the recommendation is to reduce the daily dosage to 2.2 mg/kg live weight.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral route.
SIDE EFFECTS: Oral and gastrointestinal ulcers, hypoalbuminemia, diarrhea, anorexia and renal effects.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS: Do not associate with warfarin or sulfonamides. Do not use if there might be digestive ulcers, coagulation defects, cardiac, renal or liver dysfunction, or when there are thyroid conditions or allergy to this drug. In case of acute toxicity produced by the drug, stop the treatment, alkalize the urine and apply prostaglandins and H2 blockers. The maximum dose of the product is 4 grams a day. However, it is recommended to respect the therapeutic doses suggested to avoid probable side effects. The maximum length of the treatment is up to 5 days.
NOTE: Since the product will be used under circumstances that are not under the manufacturer’s control, the manufacturer shall not be liable for the consequences arisen from the inappropriate use of the product.
To be used in sport horses. Do not administer to horses that might be used for human food consumption
